** ઈતિહાસ તાનારીરી મહોત્સવ** :-                            એક લોકવાયકા મુજબ નરસિંહ મહેતાની પુત્રી કુંવરબાઈ અને કુંવરબાઇની શમિૅષ્ટા . શમિૅષ્ટાની બે પુત્રીઓ તાના અને રીરી. જે વડનગરમાં રહેતી હતી. -> એક સુપ્રસિદ્ધ ઘટનાને કારણે તાના-રીરી નું નામ સંગીતના ઇતિહાસમાં અમર કયુૅ છે. ઈતિહાસ:-            અકબરની શાહજાદી(રાણી)એ એકવાર મિયાં તાનસેન પાસેથી દીપક રાગ સાંભળવાની હઠ કરી. તાનસેને આનાકાની કરી અને કહ્યું. દીપક રાગ ગાવાથી ગાયકના શરીરમાં દાહ(અગ્નિ) થાય છે. તેનું શમન મલ્હાર રાગથી જ થઈ શકે. પરંતુ શાહજાદી(રાણી)ની હઠ સામે તાનસેને છેવટે દિપક રાગ ગાયો કરો. પરંતુ તેના શરીરમાં દાહ પ્રગટ્યો. -> તાનસેન મલ્હાર રાગ ગાઇ શકે એવી ગાયકની શોધમાં આગ્રાથી પ્રયાણ કરી વડનગર આવી પહોંચ્યો.( તે સમયે વડનગર શાસ્ત્રીય સંગીત અને અન્ય કળાના ક્ષેત્રે વડનગર ઊંચી પ્રતિષ્ઠા ધરાવતું હતું ‌) -> તાનસેન વડનગરના શમિૅષ્ટાતળાવ પર ગયો. તે વખતે તાના-રીરી ત્યાં પાણી ભરવા ગયેલી ત્યારે તાનસેને જોઈને બંને બહેનો સમજી ગઈ કે દીપક રાગથી પીડાઈ રહ્યો છે. આ વાત ઘરે જઇને તેમને પિતાને કહી. તાનારીરીના પિતા તાનસેને મળ્યા. તેની કથની સાં
